THE LOGLINE

Storm Loading is a tense, character-driven survivial thriller about violence, resilience, and the instinct to protect the people we love.

Set against the unforgiving beauty of the Sierra Nevada, the story follows sixteen-year-old Megan as her family is forced into a desperate fight for survival when a violent ex-convict hunts her mother and younger sister into the heart of a deadly Donner Pass blizzard.

Wounded, freezing, and pursued through frozen forests, rushing rivers, and dark mountain tunnels, Megan is forced to rely on her intelligence, determination, and growing courage to keep her sister alive.

With every mile, the storm intensifies. The terrain becomes more dangerous. And the man hunting them refuses to stop.

As Megan struggles to stay one step ahead, the responsibility of protecting her younger sister begins to fall entirely on her shoulders. What starts as a fight to survive becomes a profound test of how far a young person can go when the people she loves are counting on her.

I’m drawn to stories where characters are pushed beyond the limits of what they believe they can endure.

Storm Loading explores the instinct to protect the people we love, particularly when circumstances force someone into a role they were never supposed to carry.

Megan is sixteen. She isn’t a trained fighter or a conventional hero. She’s a young woman who finds herself in an impossible situation and has to discover strength she didn’t know she possessed.

The Sierra Nevada provides more than a dramatic setting. The isolation, brutal weather, unforgiving terrain, and history of Donner Pass create an environment where nature itself becomes an adversary. Against that landscape, the pursuit becomes both physical and psychological.

At its core, Storm Loading is about resilience – the moment when fear stops being something that holds you back and becomes the very thing that drives you to keep moving.
